Quick Trip To Sun Mountain.
Anne and I were able to get away for 24 hours for a birthday party for some of our friends at Sun Mountain. It was the middle of the week, but was absolutely beautiful. Lots of deer, great view of the cascade mountains, and good friends to enjoy it with. On the way back home we stopped at Winthrop where Anne made a quick visit to her favorite pottery store.
Taxi Anyone?
The water taxi’s are very popular in Vancouver for short trips across the water. A real tourist attraction and appear to be a great alternate transportation, especially if you don’t want to look for a parking spot! This picture was taken from the dock outside the market building at Granville Island
Whitecaps FC Soccer Game.
I saw my first ever professional soccer game on Saturday, thank you Scott! He was able to get great tickets for all of his family, Rae and Brooke, and Anne and I. A beautiful sunny day made it perfect.
More Than Just A face In The Crowd
In the market center at Granville Island. Searching for the family in a crowd can sometimes be daunting. Knowing they were taking in a snack I spotted Scott and got this picture. Rae, Glenda, and Hanna were sitting at the same table. So great to listen to everyone telling their stories and catching up.
A Quick Trip To Granville
After watching Rebecca play soccer on Good Friday, we took a quick trip to one of Anne’s favorite places in Vancouver, Granville Island. It took us 20 minutes to find parking, but it was well worth it. We had a really great time with the family here. The fresh produce and fresh meat was abundant, with long lines for each one. We really did not have enough time, so will be back soon to take it all in again.
The Sunday Canucks Game
We all got ready for a great Canucks playoff game on Easter Sunday. It was tense to the very end, and the Canucks lost in overtime. Thank God for a game seven on Tuesday that the Canucks won and advanced them in the playoffs.
